The Japanese Yari was an essential Senjo (battlefield) weapon of the Samurai and due the length and size a great skill was necessary to use it.
This elegant deluxe Yari is made using a Ebu made entirely of one piece of genuine 100% Buna (Japanese Beech) having a fine grain all over the length and lacquered in gorgeous Kuro Shuiro (dark vermellion) with a hand painted Maki-E Ryu (dragon).
The gold plated fittings Kuchigane and Ishizuki match with the carefully wrapped Kaburamaki and offer a unique contrast with the Tachiuchi part in Aoi Tho Maki (blue bamboo wrapped). A Ho wood Saya is included.
