Recently it's also popular as a decoration item and dividers in doorways between rooms.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi 歌川國芳 (1798~1861) was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e (woodblock printing) style of art in the Edo period.

Now you can enjoy his magnificent work with this traditional Noren!

This piece is titled Miyamoto Musashi 美家本武蔵 and features the famous Samurai fighting and killing a giant monster bat.
