Description
This Jimbei design is based on the famous
Shinsengumi
uniform and flag, featuring the great icon of the Shinsengumi the Kanji of “
Makoto
”, honesty, and the "mountain stripes" features in the back.
The Jimbei is a
traditional Japanese summer wear
, very relaxing and used both as a casual and home wear.
Made of thin 100% cotton fabric with traditional and
typical “open Jimbei sleeve”
, which makes it extremely
comfortable and cool
, and by this reason it is very popular being used as a pajama too.

The short pants are included.

Please note that
it’s not printed
on the Jimbei but featured in the back using the traditional technique called
Bassen
(discoloration technique) which consists in discoloring, removing the dye in details of the fabric leaving the shape of the design.
The Bassen is still being used in these days for putting the
Kamon
(family crest) on the
Kimono
.
