You are welcome to choose the length of the blade, Hamon, Tsuba, Tsuka lenght, the materials for Tsukamaki, Sageo and Saya to customize the Iaito to your preferences.
  • Weight w/o the Saya: 980 g approx (2.45 Shaku).
  • Blade length: available from 2.2 to 2.50 Shaku.
  • Blade material : reinforced zinc, aluminium alloy*
  • Tsuka (handle) length: available from 8 Sun to 9.5 Sun.
  • Genuine Samegawa (ray skin).
  • Tsukamaki (wrapping): available in selected cotton, silk.
  • Mekugi peg: selected bamboo.
  • Saya: selected Ho wood, available in Kuroro (black gloss finish), Kuroishime (black matte finish), Chaishime (brown matte finish).
  • Sageo: available in selected cotton, silk.
  • Handmade in Gifu, Japan.
The Iaito is constructed only by Japanese craftsmen in Gifu, not created by either non-Japanese labor or by mass production system: please allow us 3-4 weeks for the production.

*A zinc /aluminium alloy is not made for cutting or any action which involves any impact to another object.
