Date Masamune (1567 – 1636) was a regional strongman of Japan's Azuchi-Momoyama period through early Edo period.

An outstanding tactician, he was made all the more iconic for his missing eye, and Date was often called dokuganryū the "one-eyed dragon".

This model features his own Kamon (family crest) over a high quality black Washi (Japanese paper)

The Oyabone (outer ribs) are made of iron, forged in the very same Gifu, and the Nakabone (inner ribs) are made of fine blackened Kyoto bamboo.

This model comes with his Kamon in Maki-E style in the one of Oyabone.
A nice cardboard box and a purple soft cloth bag are included to this fine Tessen.
Also great as a gift or for collection.
